Final project photos.
Im glad to be done with this project but I wish I would have had a little bit more time to play around with revit. It was just starting to play nice with me. Overall im pleased but getting a fresh look at it today I noticed a few items that I would change ... and I might just do that for my portfolio entry.

Project 2
Project: Design a Guild Hall to serve as a place for celebrating the unique and rich-varied potential of masonry as a building material.

I felt it important to keep the temple within the downtown area. While scouting sites I knew I wanted to explore an urban infill project and thought it important for an eastern orientation. This is the site I chose, it features a slower paced atmosphere but also is conducive to cultural exposure opportunities. The site footprint will be a challenge but I felt it will create for a unique design opportunity.

Final Presentation
After two days of constant production ( and no sleep ) I finally finished my boards. It was the first time I have used digital media and used the plotter for my presentation. Maybe it was the sleep deprivation but the plotter ended up being a 3 hour learning curve. Overall im pleased with how they turned out, with only a few minor mistakes noticed.

Parti
Here I show the internal structure used to create the form.
Seen above is my finished product. The process used to create this started out as sheet music transferred to a piece of wood. Next I took the notes and extruded them into a three dimensional form based on their pitch. This was then draped over with canvas that had been soaked in plaster and left to dry. The intent of this project was to try and understand and view music in a tactile way. Draping of the fabric between each note show a free flowing delicate form that's directly translated from the 2d into the 3d.
Centers for Celebration: Healdsburg Guitar Festival
My Assignment is to create an office and display space for the Biannual Healdsburg Guitar Festival located in California just north of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Bus Dwelling
My first project I was asked to take a recycled school bus and turn it into a habitable space. I decided a centralized system was my best option.Centering all the functions of the space much like the heart of the bus allowed for two spaces to be created, a public living space and the private sleeping area. I wanted to make as comfortable of a space as possible.
